Tayton's 3 year old session! BluOrchid Photography ~ Marion AR Photographer

This is Mr. Tayton...he is the cousin of Mr. Carter (below). Their grandmother, Lisa, is a photograph fanatic (I know this for certain, I have seen the montages all over her house). She wanted something special for Tayton as well. So, we decided to have a session just for him. He was a bit sleepy when they first got here so it took him just a bit to warm up to me. He thought it was hilarious when David would whack me in the head with this stuffed animal duck we have! That got some great smiles from him. Also, his father is from Mexico and LOVES soccer. Somehow or another Ms. Lisa got him an authentic soccer uniform, so we did that shot as a special Christmas surprise for his parents. Don't worry, they had their Christmas today, so I know it's safe to post it! Anyhow, he was such a handsome guy with amazing brown eyes. See for yourself....

Carter's 4 month session! BluOrchid Photography ~ Marion AR Photographer

I'm sure you all remember Mr. Carter from his newborn session....well, maybe you might have to back up and do a double take for this....cause he looks soooo different! He did so good for his 4 month session. He is still full of cute facial expressions and we even coaxed a tiny smile out of him once! He is just a total cutie! Oh, and for the set of photos with the leaves...the story of how I got those is kind of funny! David and I went to grab something quick for lunch just before the session and we saw a guy blowing the leaves from his yard and I thought, what a great prop! David looked at me like I was nuts. He really did when he saw me headed out the door with a box to go pick some of them up from the side of the road. But, he can't say I'm too crazy after seeing how they turned out. Take a look....

Courtney's Bridal Shower! BluOrchid Photography ~ Marion AR Photographer

Since Courtney and I are such good friends, I got the honor of attending her bridal shower. And of course I brought my camera. Courtney was funny because I showed her one on the back of the camera and she said she had never seen a cheese tray look so good! That was funny! She got tons of great gifts and looked so beautiful in her red dress.....red is Courtney's favorite color. Beau came in at the end to thank the guests, so I grabbed a quick snap of them together.

A few of Courtney's wedding day vendors had some of their beautiful work there as well. The flower arrangement and Courtney's corsage were provided by floral artist Charese Feliciano Designs. Charese has such amazing, modern designs...I can't wait to see what she does for the wedding. Check her work out at her site, http://www.charesefelicianodesigns.com/. The cookies were created by her cake artist, the Kake Deevas in Cordova. Their web address is http://kakedeevas.com/. And finally, the star of the table, was the cupcake tower. This was created by Sugar Bowl Cupcakes. Check out their beautiful creations at their site, http://www.sugarbowlcupcakes.com/. Also, might I recommend the strawberry....it was simply amazing! I don't think I ever tasted a cupcake so good in my life!

Courtney and Beau's Memphis Engagement Session

Meet Courtney and Beau. We will be doing their wedding in January. They just came in for their engagement session viewing and LOVED it! I'm so glad because not only is Courtney one of our most beautiful brides, but she is also a very good friend of mine. We did their session on a VERY cold day, but they braved it and we went all over Memphis. It was so fun to work with them.....and so sweet. Look at the one where Courtney is looking at him so lovingly. This is one of the things that we are really good at....catching emotion and capturing feelings. I love that! They were sweet and romantic. I can't wait to do Courtney's bridals (her dress is sooooo beautiful and unique). And I really can't wait for the wedding. Without further ado.....

Memphis Botanical Gardens Wedding! BluOrchid Photography ~ Marion AR Photographer

We had the opportunity to be part of a very beautiful wedding last month at the Memphis Botanica Gardens. The day started a little crazy for the bride, but it all worked out (like it always does) in the end. This is Amy and Brice. I'm so behind on blogging that I don't even have their engagement session up yet, so I know this is backwards, but I just love their wedding pictures! Amy has got to be one of the most gorgeous brides I've ever seen, much less that I got to photograph her! And Brice is just such a sweetheart....you can see that in the photograph where he is carrying her dress. And I have to give a shout out to David for all of his help that day...he actually got some amazing shots that are included here. Well, here they are....
