Winner of the BluOrchid Photography Cutest Elf Contest!
It is my great pleasure to announce our winner! It is Ms. Tori! She won....and I have to think it was those cute little cheeks that pushed her over the top!
We had such a great response with over 650 votes in all! Thanks to everyone that participated! We will have your prints ready for pick up at the studio tomorrow. Just drop in anytime from 10am-5pm to pick up your child's portraits.

We have an early "Elf" lead! Get those votes in!!!
Ok so I've been keeping close watch on the votes and we have an early leader with Elf #28! Close behind are elf #13, 27, 21, 19, and 14!

We still have a very tight race between a few certain elves! I think from now on I'm going to keep it secret who's in the lead! You never know if someone is sneaking in on you with votes, so don't get lazy on me! I will say that we have one elf that is particularly farther ahead in votes than anyone else, but that apparently some elf parents sent this out to their friends and family today because we have some new elves bumping their vote numbers big time this evening! Only tomorrow and Friday left for voting!

I'm still not telling you who is in the lead because this is waaaay too much fun for me! But I will say that one elf is still way in the lead, but we have had a comeback by some of the others....and a few that weren't even on the map yet are making a huge appearance in the votes. So, keep them coming....today and tomorrow until midnight are left for putting in your votes! You never know if someone will sneak ahead of the pack! I will say that over 500 people have visited the blog in the past 2 days and that is very exciting for me!

So, for those of you who are not in the top 7, you have a lot of work to do in the next 14 hours, and for those of you who are in the top 7, don't lose momentum! BluOrchid Photography's Cutest Elf Contest Voting Begins Now!
Ok, so we have the photographs ready of each of our sweet kiddos that came in and participated in the cutest elf contest this past Saturday. We had a great turn out and have so many clothes and food to donate to our charity, Families in Transition. We really want to thank you all for the great work you did in bringing the items....I'm sure they will be greatly appreciated by the families that are served this holiday season. Christmas Charity Fundraiser by BluOrchid Photographer ~ Marion AR Children's Photographer
I talked a bit in the last post about how greatly appreciative Families in Transition was with our Halloween fundraiser so we decided to have some fun at Christmas time as well and came up with a great way to provide Families in Transition with much needed clothing and food items! All of the details are in the flyer below....call me with any questions (901.832.4111).

Halloween Charity Event Results! BluOrchid Photography ~ Marion AR Child Photographer
Well, the results are in! We had a great time with our Halloween charity event and had over 500 items donated to Families in Transition! We photographed over 50 children and look forward to seeing you all again next year! The Families in Transition was very happy to receive the donations so we decided to have another charity event for Christmas time!!!
We will be hosting a "Cutest Elf Contest" December 12th from 10am-5pm. We will provide the elf/santa/reindeer hats. All you have to do is bring your little one and one or more clothing items to enter your child into the contest. All participants will be on the blog and you and your friends and family will have one week to vote for the cutest child! The winner will receive an awesome portrait session with BluOrchid Photography and a complimentary 8x10 from that session!
If you are interested in having a complimentary 5x7 of your child from the contest, just bring in 3 or more canned/non-parishable food items and we will provide the free picture!
There is no appointment needed for the Elf Photos....just drop in anytime from 10am-5pm to participate! Candy canes and hot chocolate will be provided! Please tell all of your friends and family so that we can help make Christmas a little brighter for these families in need!

Support This Local Charity with BluOrchid Photography!
We will be hosting a Charity Event this Halloween to support the Domestic Violence Center/Families in Transition in West Memphis, AR. This group supports local women and children that have been in abusive situations until they can find a more permanent solution. All you have to do is bring 3 or more canned/non-perishable items into the studio on OCT 31 FROM 12-5PM and we will give you a photo of your child in costume for FREE! It will be fun....we will have treats for the kids...and most of all, it is for a great cause! Please come out and join us in this event and tell your friends!!!!
