Christmas Charity Fundraiser by BluOrchid Photographer ~ Marion AR Children's Photographer

I talked a bit in the last post about how greatly appreciative Families in Transition was with our Halloween fundraiser so we decided to have some fun at Christmas time as well and came up with a great way to provide Families in Transition with much needed clothing and food items! All of the details are in the flyer below....call me with any questions (901.832.4111).

So many of us have so much to be thankful for in this holiday season (and year round for that matter). Let's give to those who are not as fortunate.

Halloween Charity Event Results! BluOrchid Photography ~ Marion AR Child Photographer

Well, the results are in! We had a great time with our Halloween charity event and had over 500 items donated to Families in Transition! We photographed over 50 children and look forward to seeing you all again next year! The Families in Transition was very happy to receive the donations so we decided to have another charity event for Christmas time!!!

We will be hosting a "Cutest Elf Contest" December 12th from 10am-5pm. We will provide the elf/santa/reindeer hats. All you have to do is bring your little one and one or more clothing items to enter your child into the contest. All participants will be on the blog and you and your friends and family will have one week to vote for the cutest child! The winner will receive an awesome portrait session with BluOrchid Photography and a complimentary 8x10 from that session!

If you are interested in having a complimentary 5x7 of your child from the contest, just bring in 3 or more canned/non-parishable food items and we will provide the free picture!

There is no appointment needed for the Elf Photos....just drop in anytime from 10am-5pm to participate! Candy canes and hot chocolate will be provided! Please tell all of your friends and family so that we can help make Christmas a little brighter for these families in need!

Well, I would love to show you some of the fun we had at the Halloween event. I have all of the photos that we got of the children and then some of our fun candids with photos of all the food/clothes that got donated! Thanks so much to everyone that participated! We could not have done it without your help!

Do You Need a Quickie?!?! BluOrchid Photography ~ Marion AR Photographer

Before you start going all loco on me, a "Quickie" is just a fun, short photo session. Take a look at the ad and then get more details below!

During the next few weeks, we will be hosting six full days set aside just for the Quickie Sessions before the holiday season. These sessions are perfect for Christmas gifts for family members or to just have some fun photos to celebrate this time in your life. Plus, they are chic, contemporary and way better than the pic you get at the mall on Santa's lap (everybody imagine all those photos you have seen where the kid is screaming his poor little head off)! The best part is that the quality is the same as with our regular sessions!

So the details for a Quickie Session include:
*20 minute session
*One outfit
*Online ordering
*Special package pricing
*Special holiday card pricing (after purchasing a package)

There are only 18 slots available for each Quickie day we have, so if you want to get in on this, call NOW to schedule your appointment! To book your session, give us a call and have a credit or debit card handy to prepay your $50 session fee.

Quickie Dates and Themes:

Wednesday, October 21st from 9-4 and the theme is Metal Art (outdoor theme)
Saturday, October 24th from 9-4 and the theme is Urban Grunge (outdoor theme)
Friday, October 30th from 9-4 and the theme is Sofa Art (outdoor theme)
Thursday, November 12th from 9-4 and the theme is Elegant Couture (indoor theme)
Saturday, November 14th from 9-4 and the theme is Vintage (indoor theme)
Tuesday, November 17th from 9-4 and the theme is Urban Chic (indoor theme)

We will put a photo of what each theme will look like as it approaches.

***$100 minimum order due at session***

How to place your order:

About 7-10 days after your session, you will have an online gallery to view your photos and place your order. You will have 48 hours to place your order online before your gallery expires. If the gallery expires before you place your order, $50 will be required to relaunch it for an additional 48 hours. We will not do our custom consultation or custom ordering session with the Quickies so custom products are not available from a Quickie session. If you are interested in wall portraits and other custom products, you will need to schedule a regular session. These are just short sessions to capture moments between you and your family for 20 minutes.

Carter's 4 month session! BluOrchid Photography ~ Marion AR Photographer

I'm sure you all remember Mr. Carter from his newborn session....well, maybe you might have to back up and do a double take for this....cause he looks soooo different! He did so good for his 4 month session. He is still full of cute facial expressions and we even coaxed a tiny smile out of him once! He is just a total cutie! Oh, and for the set of photos with the leaves...the story of how I got those is kind of funny! David and I went to grab something quick for lunch just before the session and we saw a guy blowing the leaves from his yard and I thought, what a great prop! David looked at me like I was nuts. He really did when he saw me headed out the door with a box to go pick some of them up from the side of the road. But, he can't say I'm too crazy after seeing how they turned out. Take a look....
