Susan and Matt's Engagement Session! BluOrchid Photography ~ Marion AR Photographer

Well, last week I posted a teaser for Susan and Matt. Here is the full deal, guys! I love the way several of these turned out and I just know the wedding is going to be too awesome!!!! Bring on the bug spray....we got eaten alive the day of the engagement session, but all in all, I think it was totally worth it. We got some amazing shots of them in some of my favorite Marion, AR locations. Plus we made a few small journeys to get some really personal shots of them. Matt is a firefighter at an Olive Branch station and we went there and played on the trucks for a bit, then headed out to the Olive Branch Airport where he proposed to Susan while flying over Memphis. It was a really fun session with them! Have a look at some of my favorites from the day:

I am not quite done photoshopping these yet, but got this one completed and wanted to share. Matt chartered a plane at the Olive Branch, MS airport and popped the question while in the air. He and Susan flew all over the mid-south and when they got over Matt's mother's yard, she could see the huge signs that asked her to marry him (he had set everything up earlier that day). Of course she said yes. We went and did part of their engagement session at the airport and I love the drama and romance in this one! Hope you guys like it too! More to come once I return from vacation.

Hockey Shoot...Special Engagement Photos BluOrchid Photography ~ Marion AR Photographer

So, I just posted Noel and Chris' Engagement album and realized that I had not ever posted photos from the special shoot we did with them! We actually got the Desoto Civic Center to let us come in when there wasn't a Riverkings game and do a photo shoot on the ice! Noel and Chris are HUGE fans! They even talked them into letting us borrow some uniforms, skates, sticks, and a puck! They let them have the puck at the end as a special momento! Here are some of the cool shots we got. You would not believe what hockey players go thru just to get dressed for every game. Those guys were sweating to death by the time it was over! It was a serious blast!!!!





Love this shot of them in the penalty box! They were sticking their tongues out at each other like true rivals!!!

Memphis Engagement Portraits! BluOrchid Photography ~ Marion AR Photographer

This is Noel and Chris. We will be photographing their wedding in April. They were really fun to photograph....a really playful couple. I think their quirkiness is going to make their wedding so much fun!!!! We went to a few places around town, but the most fun was at Overton Park. It was really funny because they would start to kiss or something equally romantic and you could hear the monkeys from the zoo all the way at the park just oohh oohh and ahh ahh'ing! It was so funny because it was like they could see Chris and Noel and they would start up everytime! We got a good laugh out of it.

Courtney and Beau's Memphis Engagement Session

Meet Courtney and Beau. We will be doing their wedding in January. They just came in for their engagement session viewing and LOVED it! I'm so glad because not only is Courtney one of our most beautiful brides, but she is also a very good friend of mine. We did their session on a VERY cold day, but they braved it and we went all over Memphis. It was so fun to work with them.....and so sweet. Look at the one where Courtney is looking at him so lovingly. This is one of the things that we are really good at....catching emotion and capturing feelings. I love that! They were sweet and romantic. I can't wait to do Courtney's bridals (her dress is sooooo beautiful and unique). And I really can't wait for the wedding. Without further ado.....
